502 cases registered against traffic rule violators in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD, Sep 27 (APP):Islamabad Capital Police have taken proactive measures to address serious traffic violations by registering cases against offenders and also cancelled multiple driving licenses.
A police spokesman said that a total of 502 First Information Reports (FIRs) have been filed across various police stations under the jurisdiction of the Islamabad Capital Police against individuals involved in diverse traffic violations. Additionally, the driving licenses of 649 drivers have been revoked as a consequence.
In addition to these actions, 106 permits have been temporarily suspended, and 43 individuals have been served with notices for their involvement in traffic infractions.
To ensure the enforcement of traffic rules and regulations, specialized teams from the Islamabad Capital Police have been deployed strategically at key boulevards throughout the city.
Furthermore, Islamabad Capital Police FM radio 92.4 is currently broadcasting a dedicated program on traffic rules to educate and inform the public. Citizens are earnestly urged to fulfill their civic responsibilities in this regard, with the ultimate aim of safeguarding the lives of our valued residents.
